Event Schedule

Opening Ceremony

As we start this event, we all will be taking a step towards Open Source in one way or the other. There’s a lot to explore and do.

  • Intro to OS Fest
  • About Club DevBytes and The Community
  • What is Open Source?
  • What is GitHub?
  • What is Mozilla & its Mission?

Mastering Git and GitHub

GitHub is a web-based hosting service for version control using Git. It is mostly used for computer code. It offers all of the distributed version control and source code management (SCM) functionality of Git as well as adding its own features. It provides access control and several collaboration features such as bug tracking, feature requests, task management, and wikis for every project.

Browser Extensions

An extension adds features and functions to a browser. It’s created using familiar web-based technologies—HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It can take advantage of the same web APIs as JavaScript on a web page, but an extension also has access to its own set of JavaScript APIs. This means that you can do a lot more in an extension than you can with code in a web page.

Leadership in Developers

Mozilla’s Open Leaders program is a 14-week online mentorship and training program led and hosted by Mozilla, equipping others to work open. We’re looking for Open Leaders to fuel the Internet Health movement by designing and building projects that empower others to collaborate within inclusive communities. The Cohort 7 of the Open Leadership is currently running, and there a lot of projects to be contributed in. You will get an exclusive opportunities to help them out as Contributors, at the OS Fest and at the Global Sprint!

Introduction to Flutter

Flutter is an open-source mobile application development framework created by Google. It is used to develop applications for Android and iOS, as well as being the primary method of creating applications for Google Fuchsia.
